The ACA’s goal is to be excessively good at doing absolutely nothing, while involving as many people as possible in the process. We’re not sure if we’re failing miserably at it or succeeding beyond our wildest dreams. Frankly, we don’t know the difference.

You might've noticed that there are now Ads on the ACA! This is just the unfortunate reality of offering free t-shirts to interns. Adam's original plan, to pay for the t-shirts by withholding holiday bonuses for interns this year, was flawed because apparently we already spent the intern bonuses on penny whistles and moon pies.

Having ads serves two purposes. First... it means the ACA has to declare our tax status to the IRS. Not that I will, but still. And second... since the ads are"Targeted" we get to see what Google's Ad software thinks is appropriate for selling on the ACA. This explains why we are currently seeing ads like "Fix your JavaScript errors" and "Buy expired domains". And if you look at a "Random Sampling" you might see ads for pool cues and maple syrup. Nothing says "Adam's Crappy Attempt" like pool cues and maple syrup!
